Google Music Manager silently fails to upload some flac files
I decided to try out google music and upload my personal collection in the cloud; however, I am finding that a large number of these files simply don't upload. This is a silent failure, there is no error or warning in the google music manager gui, the failure log, or the debug log. A few things:
My whole collection is ripped from my personal CDs, so it is all FLAC (thus yes all the songs are legal and with no DRM)
None of the songs exceed the size limit and I am nowhere close to hitting the 20K song limit
I have only tried uploading 680 songs so far, and of that only 481 songs are uploaded.
There seems to be no pattern in which songs succeed and which fail. Almost all have been ripped by sound juicer, rhythmbox, or winamp. Seems like certain tracks from certain CDs just disappear, even though that whole CD was ripped by the same software. No special characters in the files that disappear either. I cannot find a pattern.
I have tried re-installing the music manager, deleting the entire collection from the cloud, and reuploading, and the same exact files are skipped.
If anyone has had a similar problem and solved it or any suggestions let me know. And, I already do run a personal music server with ampache, but I wanted to make it easier to use with my android devices by using google music.
